Chapter 9 – How Home Ownership Is Held

The 15th Edition of Modern Real Estate Practice in Texas was published in November 2011.  So far – no significant updates to Chapter 9!  There is, however, an FYI to note:

Business franchise taxes:  In November 2012, the Texas Supreme Court ruled that the state’s franchise tax (margin tax) is constitutional and does not qualify as an income tax on certain businesses and partnerships. (Texas Apartment Association.  “News Update.” Winter 2012)
