Chapter 14 – Real Estate Appraisal

The 15th Edition of Modern Real Estate Practice in Texas was published in November 2011.  So far, there are no crucial updates to the content of Chapter 14.  There is, however, an FYI topic to note:

The Appraisal Process: In Practice.  H.B. 1146 (2011) also requires appraisal management companies to report separately the various fees charged for an appraisal.  Compensation to appraisers must be reasonable and customary and be paid not later than 60 days after completion of the appraisal assignment.
